Each piece of the old hut was individually coded, so it could be re-erected exactly as it was originally... like a giant jigsaw puzzle!

August and September were very busy months for the club members, constructing the clubhouse. The roof goes on, the front windows go in, September 1979.


The back walls' on! September 1979. Note the roller-door on the front grass, the front door until a few years ago... now the front door is a glass sliding door.

One of the two original shade shelters, built c. 1976 on the flat area in front of where the clubhouse now stands. Removed in 2005.


It's practically finished! Those were a few long hard months' work. All volunteer labour. c. November 1979.

The Official Opening - 26th January 1980.
Carcoar Dam Sailing Club now had its own clubhouse - thanks to the tireless efforts of its members.
